Those of you who’ve been following along with me on this journey since the beginning know that it all began when I decided to bring mindfulness into my life and found the Calm app. Admittedly, I don’t always do the Daily Calm meditation – sometimes I just do a timed silent meditation or another one of the many offerings on the app.
But then there are days like today. Sometimes you can tell from the title what the meditation is going to focus on, sometimes it’s not always clear cut. Today’s was titled ‘Tending”. I was not at all sure what that would be about, but it piqued my curiosity and I went with the Daily meditation. Turns out it was perfectly apt for my current place in my journey.
I’m at the point where I am still working to remember and cultivate mindfulness in my daily life. I am tending to that cultivation. And I, of course, could not miss the synchronicity of how while I am growing and cultivating my practice of mindfulness, I’m using the growing and cultivating of plants in my home and in nature to help keep me centered and connected.
I’m still amazed and may always be at the things and connections that you notice in this life and world when you just stop and be aware.
